Yelo 7125

Yelo7125

The Yelo system redefines the meaning of low cost test. Highly versatile, it can provide board testing, sub-assembly or final product testing. The range of test applications include in-circuit, functional and telecommunications. Functional testing can be at board or final product level.

The Yelo 7125 is the entry system in the Yelo system range. Its key benefit is that it can be upgraded to a larger Yelo model.

With its low cost you can afford to dedicate Yelo systems to a product. The Yelo system can be used to complement an existing ATE providing, for example functional testing or a diagnostic work station.

Yelo's inherent flexibility allows for future re-use for almost any new test requirement.

Extensive software tools simplify programming while low cost fixturing further reduces the cost of automatic test.

Yelo 7125 Benefits

  • One of the lowest price test systems available
  • Entry system upgrades to larger tester
  • Functional and in-circuit board testing
  • Telecoms testing of PCBs or final product
  • Test with or without a bed of nails
  • Low cost fixturing kits
  • Automatic in-circuit programming from CAD
  • Menu based functional programming
  • Reusable as new products appear
  • Final product testing including automation

Yelo 7125 Key Features

The Yelo 7125 is the ideal solution for initial or continuing investment in small to medium production test. It is a PC controlled test system utilising user-friendly software. The user can choose from a large range of measurement and stimulus cards which simply plug into the Yelo system. The facilities are routed, via a software controlled switching bus, to the front of the Yelo system and then to the unit under test. The system can be used with standard bed of nails fixtures or, if feasible, simple wiring harnesses.

With five power supplies and an optional central measurement system the Yelo 7125 provides a very capable test station. Its powerful tools are common to the higher specification Yelo systems. Four further slots are provided to allow additional test cards to be added. Further expansion is possible by upgrading to a Yelo 7130. So there is no penalty for starting small.

The Yelo system may be used with a bed of nails fixture. Usually the cost of the fixtures and programming for different boards to be tested can outweigh the cost of the test system. Therefore Mindready (NI) have developed a range of fixtures including low cost versions. Software tools virtually eliminate in-circuit programming and the F-Point programming environment allows simple creation and editing of functional tests. These effective tools reduce the skill level required to implement your test strategy.

The Yelo system is configured to suit your application which means that you only purchase the facilities required - this keeps costs to a minimum. This concept challenges the conventional philosophy where there is a high cost in the basic automatic test unit.
